If 'Blob' and his world were real:

I decided to mess around with the idea of what it would look like if 'Blob' and other characters were real, what they would look like and where locations would be. Did a little photoshop foolery messing with pics, enjoy!

Getting to know Blob Corp. Studios

I thought it was time to really go deep into Blob Corp. Studios, so I gave some questions for myself to answer:

Why Animate?
I could write, draw or compose music to tell a story and show my creativity but animation is what calls out to me. I feel when I animate that I can tell any story I feel like telling and that this is the best way to share it with an audience.

What is the most important aspect of the Blob Corp. animations?
I focus on storyline much more now and believe that to be the most important factor. I do try and improve my animation skills during each animation but am more focused on the story, which is being told.

How important are the characters in the animations?
Very important, they feel like my children because I created them and are very protective of them. I have a weakness for not wanting to kill off any characters. My ultimate favourites are ‘Blob’ (Obviously), ‘Jiratchi’, ‘Monk’, ‘Fable’ and ‘Lenny’. Plus a hidden character called ‘Spectre’ who is soon to star in a big debut animation of his own!

Was the character ‘Blob’ designed so that animating would be easier?
When I first designed ‘Blob’ it was not because I thought he would be easy to animate it was because I wanted to create a non human character that was, cute and green (My favourite colour), he ended up being a blob because his bouncing ability opened up tons of story opportunities. I do realise he is easy to animate in terms of walking and jumping but that is why when he’s in a film, I put a lot of effort into other aspects of the animation.

What are the future goals for Blob Corp. Studios?
Well I will always release animations of my own under this name of studio but in terms of employment I will aim to get a job in an animation studio whilst working on my own animations in my free time. It would be a dread come true for Blob Corp. Studios to get enough funding to become it’s own animated film studio but this a dream that will probably not happen. However I will continue to animate and do my best with every animation I release and who knows, maybe fame will find Blob Corp. one day. Just maybe.

Plus an update from the latest animation:

Blob corp. gets all a-'Twitter'

Blob Corp. Studios has now created a ‘Twitter’ account. Unlike this blog that only posts official important information, the Blob corp. ‘Twitter’ account will contain anything that Blob Corp. is up to. Whether that’s animating, playing the Wii, watching something, ECT. It’s basically a needless update to anyone who cares to follow me on Twitter. You can view the Blob Corp. Twitter account at:

Also the animation 'The Crystal of Life' is well into production of scene 2 here's a screenshot:

Animation steams on to Scene 2!

While Blob takes a much needed animated rest:

'The Crystal of Life' is now taking off to a flying start entering the early stages of scene 2. The animation is heavily forest based (as the title would suggest) and therefore backgrounds require time to complete. This animation will definitely be longer than 'Blob and the Celestic Sisters' due to the dialogue involvement. That's not to say it will be better, but i'll give it a good try! Here's a screenshot of the lovable forest creature Kip:

Old Characters, New Project!

Blob Corp. Studios is now working on a new project, as always a fantasy Flash animation. However letting 'Blob' rest from his recent adventure, I have decided to animate a story with my characters Monk and Jiratchi. These characters have been around almost as long since i started animating. However they never got their own animation made, they have starred in a collaborated music video and various 'blob' films as well as a few uncompleted shorts. The time has come for them to star in thier own animation of epicness! Here is a screenshot:

(Monk and Jiratchi out for a walk perhaps?)

A personal aim within this animation is to continue to improve animation quality but also create more detailed and interesting backgrounds, something i feel, 'Blob and the Celestic Sisters' failed to do. More updates and new character introductions coming soon!

'Blob' and the Celestic Sisters Released!

After months of work it all comes down to this:

When two space creatures get sucked up by a black hole and seperated, it's up to Blob to help the sisters reunite and return home! A task filled with danger and complications! This animation features a spoof of the famous Ghibli film 'My Neighbour Totoro' to tribute this great film the beginning title sequence is similar to that of 'My Neighbour Totoro'. If you haven't watched this studio Ghibli film then you MUST! It is amazing!

Work experience animation Released!

Finished my work experience animation, here it is in all it's uh........ dodgy animation:

A small project i did for a little freelance work experience, the animation is based on the popular show 'Avatar the Legend of Aang'. In this Umiko (Preferably Miko) and Shari test each others strength for a future fight to end it all. Animation is basic and a little stiff at times but overall pleased with the outcome ^_^
